The workshop series is not relying on any particular formal organization but is rather a series of scientific meetings arranged by Erik Elmroth together with colleagues and collaborators. Finances are handled by Umeå University and some practical arrangements, including registration and payments, are handled by an Umeå-based conference organization company.

The workshops are non-profit with conference fees primarily covering each individual participant’s own hotel room, food, and local transportation. Often, some financial support is provided by the Swedish strategic research program eSSENCE.
